Lately I’ve had a lot of questions from new goat owners about things like disbudding, hoof trims, how to tell if your goat is sick, etc. and a friend gave me the idea to write about it! So here it goes, the blog will not only have soapmaking posts, but also random thoughts regarding the farm and all things farm-related.
As I enter my 11th year of soapmaking and my 3rd year raising livestock, I’d like to share tidbits and mistakes I’ve learned along the way. (Note: don’t raise pigs with chickens…more on that later) Some stories of lessons learned are hilarious looking back and some continue to bring tears to my eyes.
